Delta
It's the land where the blues were born, where cotton was king and where European explorers first encountered the land that would become the state of Arkansas. As you travel down the Delta region's two national scenic byways, you will be exposed to the culture, history and scenic wonders of a land shaped by the Mississippi River.
Take a break along the way to visit:

- Center's exhibits sketch the history and culture of Arkansas's portion of the Delta, the lower river's fertile alluvial plain
- Forrest L. Wood/Crowley's Ridge Nature Center - Jonesboro (p. 112)
